About this site

A new, independent photography guide launched October 2026.

Look Good in Pictures is a new, independent site launched in October 2026. It is not connected to the previous owner of this domain, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Nikon Inc. or Carson Kressley.

What used to be here

According to a Nikon press release dated October 9, 2008, Nikon launched a fall web series called Look Good in Pictures, hosted by style expert and television personality Carson Kressley, at LookGoodinPictures.com. The site carried web episodes, a “Carson’s Corner” behind-the-scenes section, consumer polls and Nikon camera information. A February 2009 Nikon release announced the series’ 30th episode. More detail, with sources, is on the episode archive page.

None of that original material — no video, text, photos or branding — is reproduced here. We do not use photos of Mr. Kressley or of anyone involved in the series, and nothing on this site is written in their voice.

What this site covers

Practical, neutral guidance for people being photographed, aimed at a US audience:

Pages at the series’ old addresses (for example /episodes/all/15/) explain what the archive was, as far as public sources say, and then give fresh guidance on a related topic.

How facts are sourced

Every factual statement on an article page is drawn from a source that was opened and read when the page was written, and each article ends with a linked Sources list. Typical sources are camera makers’ education pages (Nikon, Canon, Apple, Google), university communications and career offices, a CUNY City Tech photography course page, and Wikipedia reference articles. There are no invented statistics, testimonials or first-person test claims.

What this site is not

There are no ads, no affiliate links, no analytics, no tracking scripts, no forms and nothing for sale. The site does not offer photo sessions, retouching or any bookable service, and it lists no contact persons.

If you spot an error, the fix will be made against a source — the same standard the pages themselves follow.
